By using FocusForge you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short. Read them once.

By creating an account or using FocusForge ("the service") at focusforge.in, operated by Itathya Technologies LLP (Bangalore, India), you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country to consent to online services) to use FocusForge. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms.

We may suspend or delete an account that violates these rules, with or without notice.
You retain ownership of everything you create in FocusForge — your notes, journal, study plans, homework. By marking a note "Share with my school" you grant other authenticated FocusForge users at the same school a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to view that note inside the app, for as long as you keep the share toggle on. Turning the toggle off, or deleting the note, withdraws the licence.
The AI Study Plan and AI Coach features use a Gemini API key you supply. You are responsible for the cost (currently free up to Google's generous free tier) and for the prompts you submit. Output is generated by Google's models — we don't guarantee it is accurate, complete, or appropriate. Treat AI suggestions as a starting point, not a teacher.
FocusForge uses Google Firebase for authentication and storage, and Google APIs for sign-in, Gemini, and Google Docs sync. Your use of those services is also governed by Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
FocusForge is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise uninterrupted service, perfect data preservation, or that every feature will work on every browser. We back up your data via Firebase but you are encouraged to export your sessions log periodically (Profile → Export CSV).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FocusForge and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the service, including loss of data, lost study time, or missed deadlines. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months, which for free-tier users is zero.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of FocusForge from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the service.
You can terminate your account at any time by emailing support@itathya.com from the address on the account. We may terminate or suspend your access if you breach these Terms or for any reason on reasonable notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (Sections 5, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13) will continue to apply.
If we change these Terms, we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, surface an in-app notice on next sign-in. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be brought in the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India, unless local consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction.
